Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using DailyCampus, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via push notification or in-app notice.

You must be at least 17 years old and a student, staff, or faculty member of a registered educational institution to use DailyCampus.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your profile information up to date.

Each user may maintain only one account. Sharing account credentials or creating multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Upon registration you select the campus or institution you are affiliated with. Your experience — including posts, clubs, groups, events, products, sellers, campaigns, P2P listings, and community chat — is scoped to your selected campus.

You may publish posts and comments to your campus feed, Home, or a club or group, in the categories the app makes available (such as General, Announcements, Q&A, Activities, or Confessions). Content must comply with these Terms and our Community Guidelines. Posts in some categories, such as Announcements and Events, are restricted to verified organizers.

Where the app allows it, you may publish a post or comment anonymously. Anonymous posting hides your identity from other users only — DailyCampus always retains the real author internally so we can enforce these Terms and act on reports. Using anonymity to harass, threaten, or evade a prior suspension is strictly prohibited.

A post's reach — campus, club/group, your country, or global — is fixed at the time you publish it and determines who can see it. Content posted to a club or group is visible only within that space; content posted with Global reach is visible across campuses by design.

Any registered user may create a club or group, or request to join one, subject to that group's join policy and any eligibility requirements set by its admins (such as faculty or country). Club and group admins are responsible for the conduct of their space and its members.

Club and group admins may moderate posts and members within their own space, including removing content, approving or rejecting join requests, and removing members who violate these Terms or the group's own rules. DailyCampus may still act independently through Campus Ambassadors or platform moderation.

A club or group's admins may launch campaigns and advertisements on behalf of that club or group, in which case the Campus Marketplace Rules, Campaigns, and Advertisement provisions of these Terms apply to those listings.

When you register for an event, you agree to provide accurate information in the registration form and, where required, to pay the stated fee through the method the organizer specifies (such as eWallet QR or bank transfer, with a payment receipt uploaded for verification).

Event organizers are responsible for accurately describing the event, honestly representing pricing and capacity, verifying payment receipts, and honoring confirmed registrations. DailyCampus does not hold or process event payments and is not a party to the transaction between organizer and attendee.

An organizer may cancel an event or close registrations for operational reasons. If an event is cancelled after payment, the organizer is responsible for arranging a refund; DailyCampus does not process refunds on the organizer's behalf.

DailyCampus is a Campus Operating System whose modules include a campus-scoped marketplace. All listings, transactions, and interactions in that module are limited to your selected campus community.

Sellers must provide accurate product descriptions, pricing, images, and pickup instructions. Misleading listings may be removed without notice.

Prohibited items include but are not limited to: illegal substances, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, adult content, academic fraud materials (e.g., fake assignments, exam answers), and any items that violate your institution's policies.

Buyers and sellers must conduct themselves respectfully. Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abusive behavior will result in immediate account suspension.

DailyCampus does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listed item. Users transact at their own risk.

Peer-to-peer (P2P) listings allow any user to sell or trade personal items within their campus community.

P2P sellers must accurately describe the condition of items (New, Like New, Good, Fair). Misrepresenting item condition is a violation of these terms.

Negotiation is permitted on items marked as negotiable. All price agreements should be finalized before meeting for exchange.

DailyCampus is not responsible for disputes arising from P2P transactions. We encourage users to resolve disputes directly or contact support for mediation.

Campaigns are group-buy events created by registered sellers, or by a club/group's admins on behalf of that club or group. Campaign orders may require upfront payment via eWallet or bank transfer.

Campaign sellers must fulfill all accepted orders within the stated timeline. Failure to deliver may result in seller suspension and reporting to campus authorities.

Campaign buyers must upload valid payment proof when required. Fraudulent payment proofs will result in order cancellation and potential account suspension.

DailyCampus does not hold or process campaign payments. Payment is made directly between buyer and seller. We provide the platform for coordination only.

DailyCampus uses a Campus On Delivery (COD) model for standard orders. No online payment gateway is used for regular product purchases.

Payment is exchanged in person between buyer and seller at the agreed pickup location on campus.

Sellers must honor the listed price at the time of purchase. Price changes after order acceptance are not permitted.

For campaign orders, payment methods (eWallet QR, bank transfer) are specified by the campaign seller. Payment proof upload is required.

DailyCampus provides peer-to-peer messaging, campus and global community chat, club and group channels, and event chat. These features are provided for legitimate marketplace and community use.

Community and club chat messages are visible to every member of that room. You must not use them for spam or unsolicited advertising; harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats; explicit, violent, or illegal content; impersonating other users or institutions; or sharing personal information of others without consent.

DailyCampus may use automated systems (including AI content moderation), club/group admins, Campus Ambassadors, and manual review to detect and remove content that violates these Terms. We reserve the right to remove posts, comments, or messages and suspend accounts that violate community guidelines.

Some campuses have student volunteers, Campus Ambassadors, who help review reported content, warn or suspend members from their own campus, and remove listings or posts that violate these Terms. Ambassadors act on behalf of DailyCampus within the scope described below and are themselves bound by these Terms.

An ambassador's authority is limited to their own campus: a suspension they issue restricts your participation on that campus only, never your account platform-wide, and never your access to Home, messaging, or other campuses. Ambassadors cannot read your private messages, cannot see the real identity behind another user's anonymous post beyond what is needed to act on a report, and cannot permanently ban an account — that authority belongs to DailyCampus platform staff.

DailyCampus and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are owned by DailyCampus and are protected by intellectual property laws.

By posting content on DailyCampus (posts, comments, product images, descriptions, messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of providing the Service.

You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time. Deletion removes the content from active display but cached copies may persist temporarily.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the DailyCampus application or service without prior written permission.

Your use of DailyCampus is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, hashing, and access controls to protect your data.

DailyCampus is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

DailyCampus does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Service. We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or damages arising from your use of the platform.

For the marketplace module specifically: DailyCampus is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any product or service listed on the platform.

In no event shall DailyCampus's total liability exceed the amount you have paid to DailyCampus (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

DailyCampus is not responsible for actions taken by other users, including sellers who fail to deliver products or buyers who fail to pay.

You may delete your account at any time through Settings & Privacy. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior that harms other users or the platform.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Data retention after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.

For disputes between buyers and sellers, we encourage direct resolution between the parties. DailyCampus support may assist with mediation but is not obligated to resolve disputes.

For disputes with DailyCampus, you agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting us at support@dailycampus.app.

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DailyCampus operates.
